Cast of Characters

My name is Jennifer. I’m 34 years old, and I’m a wife and mother.

I am a Christian – I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins, and then He rose again three days later. I believe that in order to go to Heaven, all that is required of us is to simply believe in this free gift of salvation that has been graciously offered to us. I don’t believe that we must live a good life or be baptized or whatever else people think up in order to be saved.

I stay at home and take care of the kidlets these days, I am enjoying the opportunity to become “domesticated”. I enjoy photography, and playing around on my Mac – doing video and photo editing. I love to garden and dream up landscaping plans for our backyard. I’ve always loved to play basketball, and I even got to coach for awhile – someday, I would like to go back to that.

I am a conservative pundit when it comes to politics. No, I did not vote for Obama. I spend many hours yelling at the radio, or scrolling through the headlines on Drudge. While some people may think that’s pathetic, I think it’s very important to be aware of what is going on in this country and around the world. My conclusion so far is “if you’re not outraged, then you aren’t paying attention”.

Other than that, I’m a 1st degree black belt in Tang So Do, I love the color blue and sage green, I spend too much time watching television, and I think Happy Tree Friends is hilarious. When I put sheets on the bed, I have to make sure they are exactly centered, and when I hang up my bath towel, the tag has to be in back. Oh, and the toilet paper has to roll off from the top – NOT the bottom. That drives me crazy! 🙂

This is my wonderfully-sarcastic, computer-guru husband, Tyler. He’s put up with me for almost thirteen years now, and shows no signs of retreat. 🙂 He is a great dad to our children, he can fix just about anything, and he has been known to cook some delicious meals. We met at 14 years old, and started dating right after graduating from high school. He stuck it out even when I left California to go to college in Ohio. When he proposed to me, he made me think he had lost my promise ring in the sand of a playground. He let me search the sand for awhile before he presented the engagement ring to me. I wanted to slap him and hug him at the same time. Obviously, I said ‘Yes’.

This is our son, Zachary. He is 7 years old. He is a textbook first-born: strong-willed, cautious, intense, and concerned with details. He loves to play with his legos, color, read, sing, and ride his bike outside. We’ve learned that he is a homebody – he enjoys being home in his “own cozy bed” at night. He’s always checking on his strong muscles by trying to tackle his daddy. And he’s been known to zip around the house in a cape yelling “Super Zach, away!”.

This is our daughter, Rebekah. She is 5 years old. She has bucked the expectation of a laid-back, easy-going 2nd child, and is basically a handful. She is opinionated, fearless (first kid to break a bone), outgoing and has a little bit of dictator in her. Don’t worry, we’re watching her carefully. 🙂 She loves to care for her baby dolls, cook pretend meals for us, squish bugs of all kinds, and listen to talk radio (I’m not kidding). Right now, she says she will grow up to be a princess…or an American Ninja Warrior. Either one will do.

This is our newest addition to the family – Daniel Min-ho! He’s 3, and came to our family by way of South Korea. He’s been home for a few months now, but still learning the very basics of English. We know a few things about him despite the language barrier though! He’s definitely a strong-willed toddler! Loves to jump on the trampoline, and enjoys any food that is not a vegetable. Ha! He is a tough kid – rarely phased by the bumps and bruises that come with being three. He’s had to adjust to SO much since he’s come home to our family….and he’s doing pretty well considering!

  1. Hey Jen Jen ! 🙂
Your toilet paper theory is right on . I agree, and so does science ! 🙂
